We officially closed our store in Wayzata on January 25th. It was a beautiful and heartbreaking last week, and we are so thankful for all the love we received from our community.
We just returned from the Gem Show in Tucson, Arizona, and we'll tell you more about what we got there (was it our best gem show so far? We think so!). But first, here are some updates about closing this chapter of our lives.

A Growth Process
Our first Jewelweed, opened in 2018, was born from Jodi's personal healing journey and her dream of community wellness and healers. Our shop was small and mighty, with just a closet for storage and all administrative tasks! We felt very held by its coziness and comfort, like a nest, and it was perfect for Jewelweed's baby steps.
When we moved in November 2023 to the location on the corner of the same block, it was an opportunity to think bigger and realize our dream of offering classes and workshops. We had so many amazing events with Sound Healing, Tarot, Astrology, and Human Design, wonderful pop-ups, magical jewelry making, herbalism classes with a teacher from overseas, online events, regular in-shop readings, and our dear Jewelweed Experience workshops.
Each of these events filled us with joy and appreciation for all our participants, teachers, vendors, and healers.

As a small business, everything we have offered has helped us grow and taught us a myriad of new skills. It has stretched our boundaries, our creativity, and also our dreams.
Of course, growth has pain points. We had to let go of what we loved and considered beautiful in order to let other things come in. It is not easy. The way we think of it is to work with how things want to happen instead of staying fixated on how they have been. In order to move forward - which is the direction of a fulfilling life - we need to allow change to take its course. If we cling to resentment or regret, we don't go anywhere and miss beautiful opportunities.
We could never have made the leap from the first store to the one that is coming next (we have our eyes on a couple of spots, but nothing is decided yet). The process of growth is filled with transitions, short or long, that are indispensable to the next step, even if we do not realize it at the moment. For us and Jewelweed, each transition teaches us how to be more confident and visible, and refine our mission through the products we sell at the shop, the vendors we select so carefully, or the classes we offer.
We stay connected to what brought us here in the first place: a healing journey, a community of wellness and healers.

SAYING GOODBYE
On the last afternoon of being in the shop, after four intense days of packing and cleaning, we had a ritual to say goodbye to our space. It was beautiful, simple, and filled with tears and laughter. We all said words of gratitude for what was built within these walls and said prayers for the future of Jewelweed. We made offerings to our beloved lake and bid farewell to Wayzata.
We let it all go, trusting the promise held in the new days ahead. Committing to be ready and honor the next phase of our growth.
