Meet the Team


 

Jodi is the creator, visionary, and owner of Jewelweed. Her generosity, wisdom, and love for nature and people are behind everything that happens in the shop. She is a true woman of heart, and her integrity is felt through every product we carry.
She loves being near the water and with the plants, and could spend her whole life in her garden! Jodi is also an herbalist, interior designer, mother of three boys, life coach, and lover of crystals.

As of April 2026, Alec is our Acting Manager and is responsible for operational management, business development, and event planning. Alec's professional background is rich and diverse: he has experience in guiding, outdoor instruction, life coaching, professional musicianship, entrepreneurship, and management. He holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of MInnesota, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of St. Thomas.
Alec is thrilled to be back in Minnesota to help develop Jewelweed into its fullest potential!

McKenzie is our newest employee, and we are happy to have her fun and vibrant energy at the shop. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with consulting, crystals, and herbal medicine. She has always felt a deep pull toward helping others reconnect with themselves, the earth, and the healing potential that exists all around, and is passionate about herbalism and holistic wellness.

Laura joined Jewelweed in September 2025 as an on-site herbal and flower essence consultant. She brings many years of experience in the healing arts and provides assistance with flower essences, tinctures, and crystals. She is very knowledgeable in Tarot and astrology, is a published author, and has a black cat (of course) named Pickles!

Amanda has been with us on the weekends for a few years. A beautiful soul, she is very organized and always eager to help everyone at the shop. She loves the beauty and messages of nature and going on walks to forage plants when needed.

Francine works remotely behind-the-scenes and is our writer + communication and online store wizardess. She brings her love for words, magic, and practical creativity to our team. Francine is a mixed media artist and somatic awareness practitioner who likes to make meaning of life experiences through symbols, images, and archetypes. Originally from France, she lives outside of Philadelphia with her husband, their two teenagers, a howling dog, a curious cat, a few snakes, and a wild garden.
