We love this elixir at Jewelweed - it is soooo good!
This simple love potion with herbal aphrodisiacs is warming, stimulating while also being relaxing (thanks to herbal magic), heart opening and pleasing to the senses. It brings a sense of happiness and lightness and tastes delicious.
Fun for a night in or out, alone or with another. Enjoy straight or add to sparkling water or beverage of your choice.
You can use these same ingredients to make a tea and make an alcohol-free drink with the same effects.
Aromatic Spice Mixture:
star anise (small handful)
2 cinnamon Sticks
5 cardamom Pods
3 cloves
1/2 vanilla bean - split open with seeds exposed
Herbs:
Damiana dried herb (about 3/4 cup)
Organic rose petals (1/3 cup)
Recipe:
Add your aromatics and spice mixture into a pint-size glass jar.
Add herbs and top with honey then add the alcohol to preserve – we suggest artisanal apple brandy. The herb mixture should be completely covered by your liquid.
Cover, label with ingredients and let sit for 3 weeks.
Strain through cheesecloth and store your potion in a pretty glass jar.
Compost your ingredients.
If you wish for additional sweetness just add honey before final bottling (a couple of drops to teaspoon).
